Year 19: A Dizain Prayer of Gratitude

God, out of all the gifts you’ve given me

in my several glorious years of life,

hands down, the best of them all is Kristi,

the emblem of what it means to be a wife,

one who’s there through thick, thin, the good, the strife.

Year nineteen of marriage, still by my side,

she’s stood here with me, my beautiful bride.

This gift: A woman after your own heart,

next to you, the one in whom I confide,

“Thank you!” is both my ending and my start.
