Praying with Psalm 91

“When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.” -Psalm 91:15 Lord God, there is no whisper, however faint, no cry for help however far that You cannot hear. If we are oppressed, besieged, impoverished, even captivated by our sin and compulsions - You walk right into our heart, in the midst of the bombardments and cover us as a shield. You become poor, and sit right next us. And You hold us in the midst of our addictions. You honor us when we have no honor to give. So Lord I ask for more honor that I might return that honor in gratitude. You have delivered me before, You will deliver again. May it be according to Your word, and the testimony of my life, O God of Jacob. Amen.
