Praying with Psalm 75

“And all the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.” -Psalm 75:10

Honor is lifted to my right, and honor is lifted to my left. Some honor is bestowed upon the good, and even more lavished upon the bad. The frequent praise of our badness sedates the mind, castrates the conscience. Lord if I have lifted my horn to any unworthy thing, break it, shatter my horn. Let my adoration be only for You. Restore a horn of praise for Your name within my heart, mind and will, spirit, soul and body. Let every idolatrous attachment to fear, anger, anxiety, immediate gratification, agreements with every lie grown up from every wound be cut off by the authority of Jesus’ name in the power of the Holy Spirit. Lift a holy horn in my heart to sing Your praises from this day forth. Amen.
