Praying with Psalm 73
“So I was stupid and ignorant. I was like a beast before You, and nevertheless I am continually with You. You hold me by my right hand.” -Psalm 73:22-23 Even in my sin, You were loving me. You walked right in, sat down, and ate a meal with me in the prison of my own company. Lord You have never left me even as I fed myself on scraps and garbage in the alleys of my heart and mind. If I prostitute my heart, and prostitute my mind, Your love refuses to let go of me. If I shut my eyes and pretend You are not there, You will not turn around and leave. You are ever patient to rescue, restore, and love me. Forgive my ignorance, lead me till all I know is grasping Your hand in response to Your hand that has always held me. Amen.
