Praying with Psalm 69

“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.” -Psalm 69:30 What glory can I give back to God? What honor could I possibly give Him who is the beginning and ending of every good and perfect gift? On my own I will never be able to offer God one thing He deserves, not one iota of what the Lord is due. All that I can bring is what He gave, all that I am able to offer is the gifts I have never earned, nor deserved. My gratitude, my mahalo, my thanksgiving, my very breath can do so little to magnify You, O God, but here I am, where ten thousand thank you’s are never enough. Let all my offering be in Your perfect Gift, Jesus Christ, our Living Hope. May I be caught up in the perfect gift of His life, death, resurrection, and ascension.
