Praying with Psalm 63

“My soul follows close behind You.” -Psalm 63:8

Let all my hunger, all my thirst, all my willing, personality, thinking and desiring move in the shadow of Your life. Let my emotions and every breath be dressed in the dust of Your feet. Only You are life, and my soul is not alive as it will one day be. My soul is not as free as it will one day be. Let my soul follow You into more of Your life, and let my soul follow You into more of Your freedom, and let my soul follow You into more of Your healing. For I know I am not as whole as I will one day be. There is more life, more freedom, more healing and more love yet to come. I will not stay half-dead, I will not remain half-free, I will not remain broken. Let all that I am follow You closely to Your resurrection, and let that resurrection begin today until You complete Your work in me. Amen.
