Praying with Psalm 49

“They call their lands after their own names.”

Psalm 49:11

I can not save myself. I can not preserve my life by owning land,

Buying a house,

Or carving my name into the mountainside.

Makai or mauka our lives all end the same.

No wealth can change the course of life,

Nor purchase a longer year, or longer day. Only You Lord can ransom. So let me remember You

In every exchange, and every moment. To receive You is the greatest treasure in all worlds. Amen.
