Praying with Psalm 46

“Upon thus we will not fear.”

-Psalm 46:2

If vocations falter and fail, or never come around,

If pandemics rise and rise again,

If relationships fall apart again and again and again,

If evil has its way though we’ve drained our dearest veins,

If poverty threatens every step month after month,

If sickness comes, and all creativity, motivation, and desire

Are dealt one mortal blow after another…

I shall not fear, for God, Adonai, Elohim is my refuge, my security, my treasure and inheritance, my hope, and the only light in the thick of my darkest night guiding me home - that place where every war will cease, all bows and every gun shall break and we shall know peace. Selah.
