Praying with Psalm 3

“You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.” -Psalm 3:7 You have stopped the enemy by taking his power away. You defang the viper, declaw the lion, break the arrows and burn the bows. Let the poison dry up, and the weapons of my enemy burn day and night. Whatever comes between Your kingdom and me, break the teeth. Every lie that separates me from Your presence, break the teeth. Every fear that breaks the bond of two souls, shatter the teeth. Prepare a table in the midst of my enemies, and all that would stop the feast, break their teeth. Whatever is in me that grasps for control and safety and love apart from You, Lord break the teeth. Amen.
