Praying with Psalm 28

“Do not be silent to me” -Psalm 28:1 Lord Adonai, who am I to request Your ear? But you gave me a mouth. Who am I to catch Your gaze? But You gave me eyes. Who am I to ask to touch and feel? But You gave me a body. And who am I to ache and long? But You gave me a heart. And who am I to desire company? But You made me for communion. So Lord, do not be deaf to all these things raging for beauty within all of me.

Come, speak, that my tempest may hear, “Peace, be still,” and let there be peace

And true shalom be a second garden within all of me. Amen.
