Praying with Psalm 147

“He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.”

-Psalm 147:3

You are healer Lord, yet You are outside of time, and see all time as one. 16 years pass like a second to You, but the agony of abuse and trauma pass for us like an eternity. Lord have mercy! Christ show us Your mercy! How long before You heal a broken heart? Will You let the wounded in turn wound the other in fear and allow anger and resentment to keep them apart? Will You not establish a kingdom of healing, a kingdom of restored relationships? Will the wounded go on wounding the ones who love them and pray for their healing? Will You end our seasons of anguish and make us whole and make us one? Let me trust in Your hand for all healing, and not my own understanding. Your kingdom of healing come, Your kingdom of restored relationships be done. Your love be working in us and through us here and now on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
