Praying with Psalm 145
“Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.” -Psalm 145:3
Adonai Elohim, I barely know myself, let alone my beloved, or my neighbor. Still what glory has there been unseen in these lives, and how much more for all eternity? Add the stories of every generation to the next and Your glory revealed in them is greater than the cells counted in every living thing that has ever lived. You are revealed in how we grow by suffering for one another, in how we encourage one another, and how we learn to love again and again in spite of our best efforts to self sabotage every good thing and every good relationship. We can not find the end of Your goodness, so Lord I pray, may Your goodness find the end of our badness. Adonai Elohim, I barely know myself, let alone my beloved or my neighbor. Please know us until all our relating and all our loving is filled with Your great goodness, from this generation to all that follow. Amen.
