Praying with Psalm 139

“The darkness and light are both alike to You." -Psalm 139:12

Shall I hide my face in my never ending thoughts? Can I cover my heart from You with emotional junk food or infatuation? Is there one compulsion, or a thousand addictions that could shield me from Your gaze? Is there no reasoning, no noise or distraction so dark that Your love does not pierce through with the love of a father? You have dressed Yourself in my prison clothes, now Lord I have no other path but to tell You I do not deserve a ring and a robe. Yet here I am dressed in darkness, and still naked before You. Yahweh, please cover me and dress me in Your light. I can not hide from You, so let me be hidden in You. Amen.
