Praying with Psalm 136
“Who in our lowly estate remembered us, forever His mercy endures.” -Psalm 136:23
When have I ever not been in a lowly estate? If I stood before the crowd and received applause it is Your doing. If I forgot what it means to be celebrated and sit humbled in one quiet night after another You are there. In affection and rejection I can not escape Your love. So Lord let Your love be a lamp unto my understanding. Let me know where You are working in my life today. Let me know that You have not created me to only learn and grow in solitude alone. Show me Your steadfast love and mercy here in the land of the living, here in the land of flesh and breath. Amen.
