Praying with Psalm 129

“Yahweh is righteous, He has cut in pieces the cords of the wicked.” -Psalm 129:4

Have the words that bind me to the plow been cut, O Lord? Am I not needlessly yoked to my thoughts churned in the field of my imagination, now planted and overrun by the weeds of our wicked enemy? Is this not the work of our enemy? Is this not our enemy? Show yourself, in the name of Jesus Christ, remove the mask of my own voice You have hidden in all too well. Show yourself that I may curse you and the cords that have my heart-mind bound to fruitless imaginations of fear, anxiety, anger and speculation. Yahweh, burn the cords of the wicked in my life! Amen.
