Praying with Psalm 123

“Have mercy on us, Yahweh, Have mercy on us for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.”

-Psalm 123: 3

Have mercy on those who mourn. Deliver them in their sadness, rescue them from the emotionally ignorant and immature. Bring salvation from their contempt for grieving. Let those who grieve, grieve; and may they be comforted in their grieving. Place the emotional orphan in family, O God the Father, for we know You are grieving with Your grieving children. Amen.
