Praying with Psalm 122

“For the sake of my brothers and companions I will say now shalom, peace be within you.”

-Psalm 122:8

For the sake of my brothers and sisters, my aunties and uncles, for the sake of strained relationships, estranged family members, for the sake of my enemies including myself - for the sake of all of these - Adonai Yahweh, Lord Christ let Your kingdom shalom blossom here on earth, in Your holy temple of every heart. Let Your peace flourish and flow until You have drowned every shadow, and cast the final darkness to the bottom of an endless ocean. For the sake of all I love, and all I should love, and all I am needing to learn to love - shalom over me - let it be for the joy of the Lord. Amen.
