Praying with Psalm 119: Sin & Shin ש

“I keep Your precepts and Your testimonies, for all my ways are before You.” -Psalm 119:168

My hands are often more full than what they can carry. You see me hold onto Your word with both hands, and try to hold onto fear, and coping mechanisms, and prayer, and devotion, and overthinking, and stress eating, and worship - and one thing drops, and as I labor to pick it up, another drops. My eyes are on the ground, Your horizon before me. You see all my ways. My aim is Your holy mountain, and it barely breaks the horizon as I slowly, stumblingly move forward. Help me to hold onto You, let Your mountain come closer as I draw closer until it eclipses the horizon and You are all I see. Let all my ways become Your ways day by day, hour by hour. Amen.
