Praying with Psalm 119: Qoph ק

“I cry out with my whole heart - hear me Yahweh, Your statutes I will keep!” -Psalm 119:145

How can I cry out with my whole heart while I constantly reach for emotional sugar? How can I let my anguish and fear, depression and anger be honored while I drink from the cup of poisonous positivity? If I am feeling sad, let me feel sad. If I am feeling depression and loss, please let me mourn. If I am feeling fear and hopelessness with all the rest, Lord come and be with me and surrender all to You. Teach me Yahweh to live and breathe from a whole heart. I surrender, Adonai - be Lord of my heart once more. Amen.
