Praying with Psalm 119: He ה

“Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things. Revive me and give me life in Your ways.” -Psalm 119:37

Lord God I have not kept an inventory of my eyes. The whole world can sit in the palm of my hand and quickly anesthetize my eyes with a thousand worthless things every minute of every hour of every day. Politics, lust, greed, envy, fear, outrage, injustice, malice, pride - Lord let me hate them all, let me reject them and replace them with Your holy ways in thought and deed. Turn my head, turn my eyes, turn my body, and turn my heart towards Your worthy presence in the midst of this storm of madness. Jesus be my centre, by Your spirit be my life and my aim, my hope and my goal, my prize and my love. Amen.
