Praying with Psalm 112

“There arises in the darkness light. Unto the upright He is gracious and compassionate and righteous.” -Psalm 112:4 You are merciful and compassionate, for You have made a covenant with a people who could never keep it. Can we withstand the night? Will we stay upright long enough to see Your dawning glory within us and around us? Be gracious to us, for this night is long and we so easily forget Your light. Let the new day come with fulfilled hope, laden with healing and renewal, restoration, joy, and rest. Burst our nets with Your goodness, truth, and mercy, and may we be baptized in Your radiant love once more. Amen.
