Praying with Psalm 11

“In Yahweh I put my trust. How can you say to my soul: flee to your mountain as a bird?” -Psalm 11:1 How have I let my soul flee to the mountains of a thousand temptations? There is a battle not only for those near, but for me Lord. Their weapons are distraction and pleasure laced with anesthetics which numb me to Your presence Lord, and numb me to me. Grant me the courage to fight every temptation by surrendering to You every thought, that You may be the fountain within every good deed. Let me not run, but stand in Your presence, always, all the days of my life. Amen.
