Praying with Psalm 109

“…but I give myself to prayer.” -Psalm 109:4 To pray is to request, to request is to confess need. To confess need is to humble one’s self. To humble one’s self is to be vulnerable, and to be vulnerable is to be open for rebuke or receiving. Father may I be open to both Your discipline and Your blessings, for both are life. Let me be a man of prayer, always sober to my absolute need of You every waking minute. Let me thirst after surrender to You like water. Let my praying be lead by You, make my prayers one with Christ’s prayers that I may always pray Your will. Father I give myself to prayer, I give myself to You. Amen.
