Praying with Psalm 101

“I will contemplate, wisely understand right action in a perfect way. Oh when will You come to me?” -Psalm 101:2 I could meditate a thousand years and never know more than a glimpse of Your perfect wisdom. If I set myself to perfect behavior without You I would fall short and fail for ten-thousand years. Your imperfections, if there ever were any, are greater than our perfections; and our perfections are failures dressed in fools gold. Only You God are the truly wise, the truly good, the truly perfect, only You Lord are the truly beautiful. When will You come and melt my foolishness from my bones? When will You come and baptize me in Your wisdom? Come Lord, burn up my badness, feed me on Your goodness, show me Your glory. Amen.
