Prayer for Peace of Heart and Mind

καὶ ἡ εἰρήνη τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡ ὑπερέχουσα πάντα νοῦν φρουρήσει τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν καὶ τὰ νοήματα ὑμῶν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

-Philippians 4:7

Lord may I ask for peace to guard my heart and mind long enough to bring every concern before Your throne? Can my mind be still in peace long enough to surrender all things to Your authority? Jesus can my heart and mind be found so guarded in the centre of You that the enemy can no longer plant thoughts and memories, lies and accusations that sound exactly like my own voice? Let this peace come! Come Lord Jesus, come, heal our hearts and minds with a peace that exceeds all speculation, worry, anxiety, and fear. We wait for Your return, come Lord Jesus, come. Amen.
