How Beautiful: An Extended Collect

How beautiful are you God,

Who has made beautiful the feet of those bearing

the good news of Jesus

good news upon the mountains

good news in the canyons

good news in the streets

good news and peace

That salvation might strike upon ears like thunder

and Christmas bells

and sidewalk singers and preachers

For, it is by hearing that faith comes.

and how beautiful, when it does

when it falls fresh like hair on a girl's shoulders

and like the rainbow jetting earthward into valleys

Manoa Valley, Temple Valley, Palolo Valley

and beyond.
