Daily Prayer I

This is the Daily Prayer by John Eldredge of Wild at Heart ministries. We will unpack this prayer one section at a time, and adding to it over the course of ten days. As you pray this prayer, take your time with it. Read it out loud, don't rush, be present to each word. If your mind wanders, pause, go back to where your thoughts trailed off and start again. This is a prayer of consecration for the day, and as such, is a prayer intended for the morning, even close to the first thing in your morning. Here is the first portion: Part I My dear Lord Jesus, I come to you now to be restored in you, renewed in you, to receive your life and your love and all the grace and mercy I so desperately need this day. I honor you as my Lord, and I surrender every aspect and dimension of my life to you. I give you my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will. I cover myself with your blood—my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will. I ask your Holy Spirit to restore me in you, renew me in you, and lead this time of prayer. In all that I now pray, I stand in total agreement with your Spirit and with all those praying for me by the Spirit of God and by the Spirit of God alone.
