All Yours: A Plea

Father, I am thankful for this day. I look forward to days ahead when a great number shall gather around and worship The Crucified One. God, daily help and remind me to boldly proclaim the truth to all that: None will find rest in their hearts until they find rest in you. And Lord Jesus, may the truth of your sacrifice pierce me and may your story fall fresh upon me. Lord, wound me with a sense of sin, and lead me to your healing hands by the Spirit, who is present in and among me. I pray, I beg that you will bless your church and help her to be wide awake and thirsting after you. Father, Son, and Spirit, I pray for this city, this island, this state, this country, this world…all yours…knowing that you’re not done. War and violence rage and I long for it all to end. I desire your peace. God, I know you see. I know you are present, even and especially, when we suffer. I am grateful that I don’t have to go it alone. And, so, I ask now, Lord, in your mercy hear my prayer. Amen.
