A Prayer for All Tribes: A Trinitarian Collect

O God, Father of every people, nation, tribe, and tongue,

Who created us in your holy image to do your holy will and be your holy children,

Lift our eyes to you,

That we might see holy and godly unity in diversity,

And live together in in your world as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Lord Jesus, our Elder Brother,

Who loved Jews, Gentiles, Samaritans, and Syrophoenicians,

Help us to keep our eyes fixed on you and your cross,

That we might remember your claim: "For God so loved the world..."

And, as a result, we might love the world as you did.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

Holy Spirit, our Counselor and Guide,

Who points everyone from the four corners of the earth to the Father and Son,

Help us to have eyes to see and ears to hear,

That we might join in with the great global chorus in resounding praise,

And, in one accord, testify before all nations: "Holy, Holy, Holy!"
